Today is all about Claudia Cathryn and her gorgeous bridal session at Katie Hearn Oaks in Leroy, Alabama! I mean… can we even get enough of that gorgeous bow detail on the back?!
Claudia Cathryn’s entire wedding (wedding blog coming soon) was full of classic southern details, so it was only fitting that her bridal session was, too. Bows, pearls, classic southern landscapes… oh gosh, just a few of my favorite things.
Just the day before her session, it was FLOODING in south Alabama, so we were quite pleased to have a gorgeous sunny afternoon with surprisingly dry ground to work with. Wearing the dress before the wedding brings about it’s own share of nerves, but wet ground is an additional stressor that no one wants to add. (Pro-tip – Bring a white top sheet to your bridal session to stand on and let the dress rest on to keep it clean!)
In exchange for the rain, however, we were given tremendous winds. It was evident that it wouldn’t be calming before the sun dropped, so I asked Claudia to trust me as we leaned into the windblown look, and I think it turned out wonderfully, if I do say so myself.
