Przemyslaw Lesniak: Puts his strong track record in travel retail at the service of Qatar Duty Free

QATAR. Qatar Duty Free (QDF) has announced the appointment of Przemyslaw Lesniak as its new Vice President of Retail Operations. He reports to Senior Vice President Thabet Musleh.

Lesniak has a long and distinguished track record in the travel retail industry, having spent 23 years in senior positions with Lagardère Group.

He drove projects across the Europe and Asia Pacific business, holding leadership roles in Poland, France and Australia. He was a key influence in striking the joint-venture agreement between Lagardère Travel Retail and Australian speciality travel retailer AWPL, later navigating that business through COVID as Co-CEO.

Lesniak also oversaw some notable contract gains to expand Lagardère’s presence in the Pacific region.

In his new role, Lesniak will be responsible for all retail operations, “developing and implementing industry-leading retail transformation strategies to further optimise the world-class shopping experience at Hamad International Airport”, said Qatar Duty Free.

He will drive commercial success across the business “through strategic growth initiatives, close collaboration with brand partners and key stakeholders, and excellent customer service standards”.

Thabet Muslet said: “Przemyslaw’s appointment is further evidence of Qatar Duty Free’s ambition and laser-focus on delivering excellence across our retail footprint. His addition to an already strong senior leadership team is the next step in sharpening our ability to drive innovation and closer collaboration with partners and to transform the experiences we deliver at Hamad International Airport.” ✈
