#FlashbackFriday with the Historical Society: Passenger car purchased for the never-completed B Line

It&#8217s time when once again for #FlashbackFriday with the Whitewater Historical Culture. This 7 days&#8217s image is a rare 1 of a passenger car or truck bought for the &#8220B Line,&#8221 a quick-line railway that was partially manufactured concerning Whitewater and Lake Geneva in 1914.

The purpose of the B Line was to be a quickly relationship to Lake Geneva in which passengers and/or freight could be transferred to strains heading to Chicago. This would present persons and firms in Whitewater more quickly transportation in Walworth County and, eventually, to Chicago.

The line was partially developed, but in no way finished owing to lack of funding and the boost in price ranges for metal made by Entire world War I in Europe. A part of the roadbed for the B Line can nevertheless be seen alongside Highway P at Bluff Creek south of Whitewater where by the road was lifted to go more than the highway and the creek.
